Research on British Film - Submarine

Submarine follows the life of a teenager as he faces typical teenage issues. From the clips of the film we have seen, I would class it as a comedy/black comedy even though the humour may not be as clear in a classic comedy film such as "The Hangover". The setting of the film is very different to those in other comedy's. Submarine is set in a small town in Wales which is contrasting to the large cities a lot of other films are set in. The weather and dark colours used in the film runs throughout the film creating a sense of blandness. Some of the comedy aspects may influence myself in creating my film but the darkness and other themes in Submarine are quite irrelevant to the genre of my film.

Film Soundtrack

For the opening 2 minutes of our film we will use a song written by myself called Lust. This means there is no hassle with gaining permission to use a piece of music. The song fits with our opening 2 minutes both musically and lyrically in comparrison to the picture and theme of the film.
