My Genre - Romantic Comedy

Romantic Comedies (Rom-Coms) are a new hybrid genre of Romantic films with Comedy films. They are often stereotyped more towards a female appeal. This shows development in my choice of how I've created the film as it is written to appeal to both genders. Some of the most successful Rom-Coms include "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" and "What Women Want". These films often base around a romantic narrative plot but often events go wrong or there are obstacles creating the comedy side to it also. It is also common that Rom-Coms end with the 2 lovers being united creating a "Happily Ever After" feel.
